For a long time, I used to choose the cheapest one when I checked the express cost or sea freight for my customers. Just thought it would save the client a little bit. Even so, there are still a small number of customers that express fees and freight are too expensive, it is customer complaints, it is more sure to give customers to find a more favorable transportation company.
However, I recently met a customer. After I quoted the freight price to the customer, the customer began to ask when it would arrive at his hand. After the customer knew the time cost and price cost, he said that he hoped to find a faster mode of transportation for him.
I thought to myself while I was looking, it is estimated that the white check, the delivery time is fast and the price will be very high, and sure enough, after asking a circle, the price of the freight on the faster route basically caught up with the value of the goods themselves. According to common sense, the customer will certainly not choose such a mode of transportation.
But you have to tell the customer! Therefore, I will send the sorted information to the customer in a unified manner, including price, timeliness and arrival time, as well as the volume, size and weight of the product, etc. The reason for doing so is to tell the customer that if you think there is something wrong with what I have checked, you can check it again according to the expensive specifications of the goods. Don't get into a fight with each other over third-party pricing.
However, to my surprise, the customer chose the most expensive one. The customer's idea is that they must arrive as soon as possible to occupy the market and catch up with the peak season of sales. The cheap route has no other advantages except the cheap price. I couldn't help but give the client a big thumbs up.
This also made me understand that not all customers will prefer low prices, some customers will not only have low prices for products and other services are also the cheapest, some customers will choose high-quality products but freight costs need to be cheaper, some customers not only need high-quality goods and transportation time also need the fastest. Therefore, there are different countermeasures for different customers, and it should be based on the needs of customers rather than some choice we think.
Therefore, in the future follow-up, we should first understand whether the customer is in urgent need of this batch of goods, and then recommend two or three suitable routes for the customer to choose according to the customer's situation, so as to provide the customer with advice and give the customer the opportunity to choose.
